My Story. . .Vol. I
Where to begin...I have so much to share about my heart for the Valley, God's heart for the Valley, and how investing in prayer is so vital. Part of this blog will be devoted to my story and heart for the valley - while focusing on prayer evangelism, prayers for the Valley, answered prayers, and insights on prayer. I will tell you more about me along the way, but I'm a Valley girl born and raised. Since the age of 15, maybe even 14 God gave me a profound heart for people in the Valley. A special identification, call, and love for them - for us.

God's Heart . . .
My heart is to stir other people's hearts to prayer that have gotten busy, forgot, drifted away, even the hardened hearts from life's hurt and mess. Prayer is the most powerful force on the planet...it truly is. The fact is we need to pray for the Valley actively. God wants to connect with us, He wants to talk with us, and He longs for relationship with us. All of us.
Where is the Valley that I refer to?
The Ottawa Valley’s geography covers 300 square kilometres in eastern Ontario, with rich agricultural land, and shared values. More than half the Ottawa Valley is wilderness, 6 million acres of fresh waterways, rolling woodlands and dramatic landforms. Culture is not static, but evolving, and those who settled in the Ottawa Valley developed their own ethos, or way of life as they settled into new land with many obstacles. Today many familiar with the Valley dynamic and its people, would say it is a culture unto itself. Many even recognize a slight accent unique to Valley folk. Charity, community, extended family, industriousness, reliability, closeness to the land, and music all are threads connecting Valley culture.
The Valley also has a spiritual heritage. Many main line churches were vibrant at one time, and God has worked deeply in people's lives in signs, wonders, and healings on many occasions. There have been distinct times in the early 1900's and 1970's when God's healing power was evident is mass numbers. (More posts about these times to come).
The EXCITING news is that it seems there is a special time approaching again for the Valley people. Many people have invested their hearts in prayer - praying that God would heal people's bodies, emotional hurts, addictions, family turmoil. I'll be clear, God can do this at anytime and anywhere...and he does! However, there is historical president that there are times when God's power intervenes in people's lives in an increased fashion - usually after a period of time where people are praying.

God, I thank you for wh
ere you have planted and placed me. I thank you for the Valley and the people you have arranged here in this generation and this time in history. I pray and echo the prayers prayed from my heart and others for years that you would revive the hearts of children, teens, women, men, grandpa's and grandma's and awaken them to your love for their lives. I pray your truth would be a light that shines bright in dark places, where confusion, hurt, sickness, and brokenness are. I pray you would extend compassion and healing to the sick. I pray that more and more people's minds and hearts would be open towards you, so that they can experience the God of love, comfort, healing and eternity now in their present situations. I pray that the trickle that has started with healings and salvations would flood the valley like a tsunami wave. Increase the work of the Holy Spirit - renew every heart and bring freedom from sickness, brokennes, envy, pride, slander, abuse, addiction, self-hatred, perversion of sexuality, and family turmoil.
