Holding Hands

Yesterday I was thinking about the movie meeting the parent’s and Jack’s circle of trust. He was very guarded about whom he let into his life and into his family. He took great measures to even keep his soon to be son in law out of his family circle.

I’m so glad Jesus is not picky about who He lets in His family circle! “How great is the love the Father has lavished on us, that we should be called children of God! And that is what we are!” (1 John 3:1) The Message puts Ephesians 1:4-6 like this, “How blessed is God! And what a blessing he is! He's the Father of our Master, Jesus Christ, and takes us to the high places of blessing in him. Long before he laid down earth's foundations, he had us in mind, had settled on us as the focus of his love, to be made whole and holy by his love. Long, long ago he decided to adopt us into his family through Jesus Christ. (What pleasure he took in planning this!) He wanted us to enter into the celebration of his lavish gift-giving by the hand of his beloved Son.”

Last night at the tent meetings there was such a great unity with all people. At one point everyone formed a HUGE circle holding hands and walking around singing. A couple hundred people at least in this one circle. It was family, it felt like family, and it was God’s family! He accepts all and anyone who would come to Him. He is so willing to accept out belief in Him, and to be adopted into the spiritual family of God! Its a circle that lets people in, and is always growing!

People from all over the valley joined hands and hearts – accepting God’s love and each other. It was beautiful. His family can be so disjointed at times, but I’m glad to say I’m seeing it united, and barriers coming down! God even started to give me back some of my spiritual family that the enemy had divided. These are nothing short of miracles! I also got to pray with people who from town I have never got to pray with! I started to see the realization of the dream and call last night at a new level and reality. God’s working in so many hearts right now.

There is so much more that God is speaking and doing right now, and I’m excited to share it as some point soon. Keep praying, He is faithful. Even through the longest season of waiting, there will be light to your darkness, and hope for your today and tomorrow.

Tenting

First night at the Tent Meetings in Cobden was great. Kinda like old school, but with newness of God's plans and seasons.

What was great about it? God's presence first of all. But all the people gathered together from all over the Valley to worship, pray, and bless each other. There was unity with brothers and sisters in the Lord, and with leadership. It was a beautiful thing. Many have prayed for this for years!

I could go on at length about what God spoke to my heart and Jeff's heart. But I will say I am so thankful that God is preparing something new for us. I'm excited about new opportunities and being able to be used as a part of God's plan to bless, minister to, and pray for people!!

Tonight's going to be hot in the tent, but worth it! Come on out 7 pm at Logos Land.

Like that of Esther, God has brought me through famine and plenty, floods and drought, fear and faith, hurt and healing for such a time as this.

To God be praise.

Renewing Flood Waters

First, if you are just visiting this new blog site, read my Welcome and Introduction!

Like I indicated in my first post, there is so much I would love to share. But I’m pacing myself. I feel a slow release to start sharing via this blog, what God has spoken to me regarding the Valley over many years. I know He’s spoken to other forerunners as well and its awesome when I start hearing what God is telling them how in unity it is and that’s how God’s spirit works and confirms and establishes seasons.

I remember back almost five years ago during my time working at Renfrew Church how God was profoundly moving in lives, and speaking frequently about His heart for the Valley in particular. I had a vision about a tsunami wave of God’s love sweeping across our area. The Valley was the epicenter of God’s love in demonstration and tangible ways. Since I’ve had many other dreams of streets being flooded with waters. I was reminded of this on Friday as Pastor Darren Canning shared of His visions of waters rolling of the mountains flooding the streets. God’s presence is coming in a tangible, abundant, refreshing, and cleansing way!! This is so exciting. If you don’t know what that means, we’ll all find out together as we seek God!

God uses imagery like this in scripture:

"I will extend peace to her like a river Isaiah 66:12 (NIV) "There is a river whose stre

ams make glad the city of God, The holy dwelling places of the Most High." Psalm 46:2 (NASB) "Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, as clear as crystal, flowing from the throne of God." Revelation 22:1 (NIV) In John 4 Jesus tell the troubled Samaritan woman at the well to draw water, "But those who drink the water I give will never be thirsty again." (Check out Transforming Beauty Post).

“Whoever believes in me, as the Scripture has said, streams of living water will flow from within him." John 7:38

Lord let your symbolic and prophetic streams of living water flood the Valley with your love and truth. Let each heart become aware of you! Cleanse, renew, refresh, and fill each heart.

Let your river of refreshing take away fear, hurt, sickness, apathy, sexual abuses, family turmoil, depression, anxiety, distrust, past trauma’s, relational distress, lies, and negative thoughts in Jesus Name. Bring Freedom!!

A Place of Prayer

“Devote yourselves to prayer with an alert mind and a thankful heart." Colossians 4:2

Prayer is communicating with God about yourself, others, and your relationship with Him. TIPS for prayer: prayer should involve thanksgiving, intercession and petitions (1 Tim. 2:1; Philemon 1:4; Heb. 5:7; Rom. 12:12; Phil. 1:3-19; Phil. 4:6; 1 Thes. 1:2; Col. 4:2). Often people find prayer discouraging due to wait times in between requests and answers. The fact is that God always answers prayer. Yes, No, or Wait. God can do instantaneous interventions, and He does. Often there is an ingredient of time in between the request –and God tells us to persevere in prayer (James 1:2,3; 1 Tim 4:16). This time of waiting, though difficult, does produce increased faith in us as we look to God for answers - if we keep focused on Him, and persevere. For some believers praying for the Valley there has been much perseverance. I know this well. As God has promised this perseverance will pay off – and it has started! There is also times where God brings increase and acceleration. This is that time for the Valley. God’s presence, healings, salvation, and reconciliation will be more evident than ever.

If you are just starting the journey of prayer beyond yourself and for the Valley, where can you start?

Family, Co-workers, Neighbors.
Neighborhoods, Towns, Regions.
Interest groups, Churches, Leaders.
Province, Country, Government, Environment.
Nations, Missionaries, World Issues.

What are you praying for?

God’s purposes to be established on earth. Individual hearts to be awakened to God’s love and truth. Healings of body, mind and emotions. The breaking of addictions. God to bring wholeness and healing to families. Unity in the Church. Visible and tangible expressions of God’s love through lives. God’s presence to be manifest and real to all. Deliverance from personal sin, abuse, insecurity, fear, self-hatred, rejection, failure, stress, anger, apathy, deception or rebellion. For God to fill people and renew in them love, peace, hope, creativity, joy, assurance of salvation, faith, confidence, relationships, skills, opportunities, call to action, and gifts of the spirit.

Practical Expressions:

Since I was a teen I have kept a prayer journal. More faithfully in some seasons that others, but what a powerful tool! I have looked back months later to discover answered prayers in so many creative ways. We are human and have this natural tendency towards forgetfulness. We need fuel and motivation sometimes in prayer. A journal is a good method for that. I sometimes write in a book, but often I have a lot to say (surprise), so I also type – which is faster.

Another thing is, if you are praying for your town or city in particular start making a list of families on your heart. I sat down one day a couple years ago and wrote out 120 family names to pray for just by last name and from my town. We all know a lot of people! Go through your facebook friends and pray blessings over them.

You may want to also narrow down and be more specific as God leads. I also keep a binder with specific labels. One is prayer requests. As you talk with people on a daily basis, you will find them sharing their lives and most defiantly opportunity to ask them if you could pray for them. I’ve not had a person turn me down yet. (And if they do, that’s ok). As God’s spirit leads, follow up with that person, and let them know you have prayed for them. Many people throw the prayer word around…but make sure you DO IT ☺

Jesus taught us to pray:

“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” Matt 6:10. Heaven includes God’s rule and reign, His purpose, creation, perfection. There is no sickness, hatred, violence, inequality, broken hearts, or sin. This helps give us insight into what to pray for.

Be encouraged the prayer works. Jesus I pray you would lift the discouragement of others in prayer off them, and establish passion in their hearts for talking with you daily. Help them to express their hearts, and to intercede for others. Help them to simply ask you to work in their hearts of others and to heal the broken in body and spirit.

“Pray in the Spirit at all times and on every occasion. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all believers everywhere.” Ephesians 6:18 [NLT].
